After passing the junction with the East Ridge Trail, the Pine Mountain trail continues its climb to Buzzard's Roost. Although the ascent is continual, the forest is so pervasive that it is hard to believe that a clear vantage point will ever be reached. Here impressive redwood trees line the trail like sentinels standing guard.
