Overlooking a Redwood Grove

Due to the steep nature of the trail, it offers some unique vantage points. For the most part, when one is hiking through redwood groves, it is from a ground level viewpoint. This is what makes such hikes a humbling experience. At this point along the Sunset trail, one can look down at the redwoods. This is a unique experience and gives a fleeting impression of how a bird must perceive these marvels.
