View from the Parking Lot

The trail starts at the end of the parking lot. This parking area is reached by taking the Felton-Empire road out of the town of Felton. It is about 1/2 mile out of town and is on the right side of the road. It is very easy to miss this turn. The plant community around the parking lot is primarily chaparral but it will soon change to a riparian ecology.
