Fall Creek is a year around stream with its source high up on Ben Lomand mountain. The geology of this terrain consists of large amounts of intruded granite. Because of this, Fall creek runs clear and fast, much like a Sierra stream. Since the trail never strays far from the creek, new and interesting views of the creek appear around every bend.
