Final Passage

Trail Thoughts and Musings

The most dangerous crossing is soon faced after the previous fording. Once again the bridge has been washed away. Although there is a log, it is too far from the trail and at a perilous angle. The only option is to wade across the creek. This time the flow is swift and deeper. It is only by using a stout walking stick that one can prevent their feet from being swept from underneath them. This picture was taken once shallows were reached.
