Curiosity spurs us to continue up Fall Creek trail beyond the junction with Cape Horn trail to see how far we can go. The trail rapidly deteriorates with many fallen trees littering the path. Finally the next creek crossing is reached and the bridge has been obliterated. The crossing here would be just too difficult and it becomes apparent that it is time to turn back. Returning to the junction, we take Cape Horn trail to the Kilns.
