Green is the color that pervades the forests of the Santa Cruz mountains. Nowhere is this more evident than here. The dense forest and undergrowth provide the background of green, but it is the ubiquitous moss that adds luminosity to this glow. Some mosses are like a thick carpet pile while others appear to be miniature forests. If you look close enough it is like flying over a pine covered mountain.
