After a short ascent along this light and airy section of the trail, the path dips and provides a fine view of the Hollow Oak Campground. This is used by the Villa for their summer camp programs. As a result, this trail is closed during the summer (June-August). This is not really a problem since it is a walk best done when the creek is running full.
