Subjective Trail Rating for Beauty and Difficulty:
When Bunny creek is running full, this is one of my favorite trails in the Santa Clara county area. It aggresively follows Bunny creek up its canyon. When the trail is blocked by one of the many falls, it switchbacks up the canyon side and then follows the creek once more. After following the streambed much further then expected, it laterals along side the hill and then climbs to its highest point at 920 feet. The remainder of the hike is then down hill along a series of switchbacks through chaperal. Because of the 400 foot ascent, I would have to classify the hike as moderate to streneous.
