It is with some effort that you face the falls and try to take the full measure of its magnificence. Leaning into the spray like some old sea captain peering out into an ocean storm, you can make out the might of the Kings River leaping off the cliff. Trying to capture this picture was almost impossible, as the lens would become drenched almost as soon as the camera was pointed towards the falls.
