Merging with the Auchmar Service Road

The narrow trail soon widens out to become the Auchmar Service Road. It descends through a thick forest of second growth redwoods. There are brief moments when a tantalizing glimpse can be had of the lake, but the dense forest growth effectively prevents any expansive views. There is a silence that brings one closer to the true spirit of nature.
