This is a trail that makes very little demands on the hiker. Jones trail is a dirt road that has a moderate climb up to the junction with Flume trail. Flume trail is sometime narrow but it is downhill all the way. The views are pleasant with some fine views of the Santa Cruz mountains and the city of Los Gatos.
