The steep, green, grassy slopes nestled between stands of forest green trees can give the impression that you have walked into a scene from the "Sound of Music". Indeed, if you stand quietly, you might think you can hear Julie Andrews break into song. Seriously, the hiker should take the time to fully appreciate the wonder and peace that an area like this can provide. It may not be John Muir's Sierra, but it will recharge your soul.
