Final Ascent
Trail Thoughts and Musings
The trail now heads up for the final ascent. A stately set of trees marks the way to the highest point on the trail. Again, dramatic views can be had in almost any directions. To the North and east lies Varian peak in Castle Rock. To the South and west the Santa Cruz mountains recede to the sea. The redwood forests of Big Basin can be seen in the distance.
