Progressing further along the hike, the full face of the Watchtower comes into view. In spring, small waterfalls can be seen plunging down its face. The Lakes Trail to Heather Lake will take one to the top of this massive granite formation. It makes its way along the lip of the Tokopah valley, clinging to a narrow ledge dynamited out of the granite. It offers magnificent views but it is not for the faint of heart or those with a fear of heights.
