Directions:

From Visalia take highway 198 east to the Ash Mountain Sequoia National Park entrance. The highway becomes the Generals highway. Continue north until you reach the Lodgepole Campground turnoff. The trail starts from alongside the campground road shortly after crossing the bridge over the Marble Fork of the Kaweah river. Sequoia can also be reached from the north by taking highway 180 east out of Fresno to Grants Grove and then turning south on the Generals highway.
