The viewpoint shown here is probably the best one to be found on this section of the trail. From the rocky sandstone promontory a large section of Big Basin spreads below you. Its steep and precipitous cliffs will make those with a fear of heights dizzy but since the trail is set back, exploring it is optional. While the vistas make the effort worthwhile, remember that a slip could be fatal.
