This is one of the largest redwoods that I have seen left on a trail in Big Basin. Although it looks as if the trail is blocked, there is actually room enough for a 5 1/2 foot person to walk under the tree without stooping. If you are taller, then you will have to duck. This tree has been here for several years and it still maintains the vivid colors associated with redwood trees.
