The parking lot is located on Highway 35 about 2.5 miles south of the intersection with Highway 9. There is ample room for a couple of dozen cars but a use fee is collected by the state. In addition to the Saratoga Gap trail, a trail to the Castle Rock formation also begins here. Although this virtual hike does not go there, a picture link can be click on to see the tafoni cave formations.
