The Oregon Tree

Trail Thoughts and Musings

This is one of the many large sequoias that were named for states. Although not one of the largest trees in the grove, its graceful shape makes it a pleasing contrast with other trees in the area. Notice the small tree in the foreground. This is what a very young sequoia looks like. It is not until it reaches maturity that the giant sequoia takes on its impressive shape.
