One of the endearing characteristics of the hike is its continuing transition from meadow to forest and back again. Here a fence can be seen which is probably a relic from the farm that originally used this land. If you close your eyes and stand very quietly, you can almost bring back those times from the past when people were toiling to bring fruit from the land.
