From the parking lot, walk to the large information signs that mark the trail beginning. Head to the right and follow the Bay Area Ridge trail as it ascends by laterals up the side of the hill. This trail is part of an ambitious project to construct a continuous trail that will completely circle the San Francisco Bay. Although still not complete, there are many long segments in use that provide marvelous views of this scenic wonderland.
