Taking this trail in early spring allows the hiker to enjoy the wonderful display of wildflowers put on by nature. Although spring provides but a brief respite from the dry, brown color normally worn by this land, it more than makes up for this with the profusion of color that is packed in a few weeks time. Here can be seen the brilliant white of Daisies mixed with the orange gold of the California Poppy.
