Overlooking Big Basin

As you walk along the trail, keep a sharp lookout for breaks in the vegetation. The number of these can be counted on one hand, but where a break exists, excellent views of Big Basin can be found. Although not visible in this picture, on a clear day the Pacific Ocean can be seen. This is particularly true after an early morning rain has washed the haze and fog from the air.
