Trail Thoughts and Musings

Soon the trail leaves Happy Isle behind and with it some of the human activity that pervades the Yosemite valley floor. Although the trail is very popular and fellow hikers still abound, the thickening forest lends a semblance of solitude to the hike. The ever increasing presence of erratics give testimony to the glacial origin of the valley.
