The trail once again approaches the river and now the bridge which enables a safe crossing becomes visible. This is the primary goal for many hikers since the first view of Vernal Falls is obtained from the middle of the bridge. Better views however can be found 0.2 of a mile further. Note the small colored dots on the rounded rock to the right. Those are hikers climbing the first part of Mist trail.
