The trail now becomes a little uncertain and soon a decision must be made. One route is to continue on Mist trail by crossing the river and then ascending to Nevada Falls. A shorter hike can be had by using the connector trail to Clarks Point. Most hikers choose to continue up mist trail but since the bridge was washed out, this hike will use the shortcut. It is easy to miss this trail junction so keep a sharp eye out for a trail leading uphill and to the right.
