Junction with the Shadowbrook Cutoff

With a final and abrupt descent, the trail plunges to meet with a cutoff trail that connects to the Shadowbrook trail. The road is only a few feet from the trail and the cutoff leads across it. Shadowbrook is a very pretty trail and deserves the hiker's attention, but for this hike we will continue straight ahead to meet our destiny and Sempervirens Falls.
