It is a short and peaceful walk along the Connector Trail. Soon it joins with the Saratoga Gap trail. The gentle slopes presented here give no indication of the sheer drop-offs that lay in either direction on the Saratoga Gap trail. Heading right would lead to the campground with a traverse across one escarpment so steep that a cable has been installed. This hike will make a left turn and head back to the parking lot.
