Thanks to the help of a telephoto lens, this close up of the south canyon rim reveals the majesty of the the moon as it sets behind the granite walls in the early morning. Lonely scrub pine trees cling to the inaccessible precipice of this remote canyon top. An eerie and ephemeral magic clings to this silent and gray landscape.
